At the British School of Tirana, our House System brings the school community together, fostering teamwork, healthy competition, and a strong sense of belonging. The school has four Houses — Dajti, Skanderbeg, Buna, and Butrint – named after famous Albanian landmarks and the nation’s hero, reflecting our pride in local heritage and culture.

Every pupil is a member of a House and is encouraged to contribute to its success. Houses provide a framework for friendly competitions and opportunities to participate fully in school life, helping students develop leadership, collaboration, and school spirit. Students can earn House Points in many ways, including excellent behaviour, high-quality work, acts of helpfulness, or achieving personal targets. Points are collected weekly and publicly celebrated, with progress displayed on four pillars in the entrance hall, gradually filled with plastic balls to reflect each House’s achievements.

At the end of each term, the total points are tallied and the House Cup is awarded to the winning House—celebrating achievement, teamwork, and commitment across the school.
